Christen McKey

As communications assistant for the Department of Conservation and Recreation, I have a passion for writing, the outdoors and writing about the outdoors! My love for our parks has led me on a journey, along with my family, to visit all of the Virginia State Parks and camp at every park that offers that amenity. My outdoor adventures and communications career began in Texas, where I lived for many years and where I received a degree in print / graphic communication. I am incredibly grateful to call Virginia home and enjoy exploring the diverse geography it has to offer. Whether on a trail, in a tent or RV, on a bike, or in a kayak, I find joy in the great outdoors and delight in sharing it with others.
